An an array of trucks loaded with dates are on display at an exhibition center as the Buraidah Dates Festival went full blast in the central city of Buraidah in Qassim province. Reputed as the world’s largest dates festival, the event features more than 35 species of dates on sale. Last year, more than 650 metric tons of dates were on display in the same event, which also features various tourism-related activities under the auspices of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.
